  • Heat pump owners always remark on how evenly the warm or cold air is distributed throughout their home. No more heat spikes or cold rooms.
  • Because the compressor unit is outdoors and the heat pump uses electricity, they are one of the quietest home HVAC solutions available.
  • They don’t need ducting so they are faster and less disruptive to install.


DISADVANTAGES

  • Though heat pumps save you lots of money over time, they are usually a large initial investment. This scares some homeowners away from making the switch, but over time you will more than makeup for the initial cost with your utility bill savings.
  • Heat pumps need regular maintenance to make sure they run well for a long time. Evolved Mechanical recommends having yearly or bi-yearly maintenance check-ups for your heat pump.
  • If sub-zero temperatures are frequent where you live, your heat pump may run into electrical problems. However, in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, this shouldn’t be a problem.
