COMPRESSOR ISSUES – The compressor for your ductless system is in the outdoor unit. If the compressor isn’t working correctly, you will feel warm air blowing from your indoor blower instead of cool air. Compressors contain refrigerant and are complex to handle, so make sure to call a trained and certified technician.
THERMOSTAT ERRORS – Thermostat wiring trouble can lead to one or more of the air handlers working incorrectly.
DAMAGED MOTORS – Ductless systems use small motors to power their blower fans in the air handlers. With a damaged motor, an air handler can stop sending out conditioned air.
PROBLEMS WITH THE REFRIGERANT OR CONDENSATE DRAIN LINE – The indoor unit of a ductless system is connected to the outdoor unit via a conduit through an exterior wall. This conduit contains a power cord, a refrigerant line, and a condensate drain line. Due to their length, the condensate and refrigerant lines can sometimes develop leaks or clogs.
